So far, 294 mass shootings have occurred in 2015 alone in the United States of America. This country has not gone a week without a mass shooting this year; hundreds are dead, thousands are mourning. We propose not to ban all access to guns, but to restrict them far more than they are already, and make access to firearms less obtainable. We encourage a cease in circulation of assault weapons, and a law against owning military-grade firearms. We as a nation see more mass shootings per capita than any other developed nation in the world. We urge Congress to take definitive action.
