Homeowner associations (HOAs) have become increasingly common across the country. In 2010, it was estimated that HOAs governed more than 24 million American homes and over 60 million residents.
While some HOAs are reported to function well, many HOA residents are reporting a myriad of problems such as civil rights violations, financial fraud, illegal & non-bank foreclosures, various harassment, and other serious allegations of discriminatory terms and conditions often targeting those with disabilities, senior citizens, children, veterans, ethnic minorities & others.
