We believe that the "Sex Offender" Registration laws currently being handled by the states do not comply with the original intent of "Megan's Law", and demand that these laws are either completely overhauled or abolished until and unless a system can be put in place that does not place people on registration lists who are not active dangers to society.
In many states, the "technical inclusion" of *ANY* crime related to nudity, sexual function, or image has led to oddities like 4 and 5 year old children being placed on the LIFETIME REGISTRATION lists for what we'd call "Playing Doctor", teens on the list for "Sexting" each other, or urinating in public
Please create an agency that would REQUIRE cases to be individually considered before placing people on the list.
