Bullying is an issue in the school system and the penalties of bullying are not enough. Many kids and teenagers are bullied throughout their school lives and sometimes it even reaches home. There have been cases where authorities and school officials were notified of bullying and next to nothing was done, in some of those cases, they ended with tragic consequences such as suicide with little being done to the offending party.
In a recent case an 11 year old boy was put under a medically induced coma from the result of bullying. How much more can the families and friends of the affected take before this issue is properly addressed. We demand action against bullying and bullies, we need more public awareness and resources to help those in need. This is a serious issue.
