The amount of people being killed and victimized as a result of policy brutality and misconduct seems to be growing at an alarming rate. This is causing a great deal of mistrust for government employed officials, especially in minority communities. I think it is time for the Obama Administration to address this as a civil rights and human rights issue. More than a racial issue, it is an an abuse of government power. If it can happen in one community it can happen in another. The police seem to be emboldened by the lack of response to their past abusive handling of citizens.
