There must be something that can be done to address corporations, and stores that are insisting on opening for business on Thanksgiving. I could understand some retailers opening for limited hours, but there are clearly retailers who have no reason to open are doing so to capitalize on a few extra dollars. This used to be a holiday where food stores were open till 12PM, and that was about it.
I strongly believe that there must be something that can be done to ensure that the employees who want to be with their families on this holiday CAN have that right. This is the first year in which many retailers have announced store openings on Thanksgiving. Please sign this petition if you are in agreement with the fact that this needs to be addressed.
