Address the issue of unpaid accrued vacation days at Federal level. All work done has to be paid!

Created by A.M. on January 19, 2013

In the majority of the states in the USA an employee can lose all accrued vacation pay based on often confusing and small-script provisions in working agreement or lack of such.
Employment agreements are often designed to provoke such loss, for example imposing a too long notification period when changing jobs.
Only in a few states (like Illinois) payment of accrued vacation time is equivalent to payment of regular wage or salary and is legally required (protected).
This situation is a holdout of 19-th century, when worker's pay was trifled with on a regular basis.
While we wish our business to succeed, upholding social justice is equally important. Every hour actually worked has to be equivalently paid, regardless of its origin. This is only fair!
