We the People are concerned with the once again growing hostility towards firearm sale and ownership in this country. We believe that is is our right, not a privilege, to be able to keep and bear arms as American citizens. We enjoy this right as a direct result of our own revolution. To say that an American can not own any arm is to say that he has no way to defend himself from harm by fellow man, or that of his own government. It is to say we can not enjoy what can be a safe and enjoyable pastime. It is to say that we have no power- that power is only reserved for the State.
We the People are equally concerned with the BATF's inaction on reports of suspicious purchases of firearms. This inaction has lead to businesses to take their own action, when the BATF should be taking action.
