This is a petition for the White House and DOJ to examine overall police practices, hiring practices and mental evaluations of persons being hired as police. There is a huge concern from citizens who are becoming increasingly afraid of police and their encounters with them. There needs to be a better screening process, more indepth psychological evaluations during training and every six months after cadets finish the academy and more accountability of police departments/personnel in cases of officer involved shootings and complaints where officers use excessive force.
