Address the Lack of Action in Situations Pertaining to Sexual Assault that Occur at Universities in the America.

The situation in terms Universities dealing with Sexual Assault is very bleak. Last year, a sexual assault was said to have been perpetrated. The male student reportedly switched the female's drink with a stronger variant and afterwards, was stated by the student to have raped her. The student was cleared of all charges. The student states that the Stony Brook University Administration did not take the reported attack and investigation seriously. I remember the Columbia student who carried a mattress on which she said she was sexually assaulted. These stories are only one of many that occur throughout our nation. The government needs to pass new legislation to finally deal with the situation.
