address the lack of necessities the people of the Lakota tribe have been experiencing due to government neglect.

Created by J.M. on October 31, 2014

The people of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation are severely lacking the most basic necessities. The Lakota tribe which resides in this reservation are in desperate need of government help in the fields of health care, food, and poverty.

As of 2007, this tribe has:

- 80-90% unemployment
- An average income of $4,000
- The lowest life expectancy in the US
- Alcoholism rates of about 80%
- Suicide rates 4 times the national average

Although treaties have been made and broken between these tribes, the situation has become so dire that it is past time the Government makes an effort in order to supply these Americans with the funds and programs to help change these unreal statistics.

Their lifestyles are far from the American Dream, however through this petition, a change can be made.
