Recently the Department of Homeland Security as well as other government agencys have purchased well over a billion rounds of ammunition. 750 million of which are hollow point rounds. I would like to remind everyone that as a member of NATO the use of any hollow point rounds in an international war is illegal under the Hague convention of 1889.
Not only is the purchase of hollow point ammo suspicious, the Department of Homeland Security then redacted information related to the purchase of this and other ammunition
Despite the fact that documents are only supposed to be redacted if authorized by Congress or for national security reasons.
I would like the Obama Administration to address why they need all of this ammunition, and how it is a matter of national security.
