Over 100 million Americans are overweight or obese, and a study conducted by researchers at RTI International, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) concluded that the annual cost of obesity in the U.S. is over $147 billion. The numbers are rising every year, and we need to take whatever steps possible to stop it.
