Online harassment and online threats are a rapidly increasing problem. These threats often cross state lines making them potentially subject to federal jurisdiction.
It is often hard to determine the seriousness of each individual threat, and local law enforcement is not equipped to deal with tracking this kind of high tech harassment.
A recent example is the group calling itself #GamerGate who have made repeated rape and death threats, published private addresses and phone numbers, and cause individuals to fear for their safety to the point of using body guards, canceling events, and even fleeing their homes.
We ask that you order the FBI to create a long term plan for addressing online harassment and label #GamerGate a domestic terror organization.
