Address the payroll tax hike from 4.2% to 6.2% that was not covered in the fiscal cliff deal.

Created by M.M. on January 22, 2013

Regardless of what was decided upon, the fiscal cliff deal did in fact raise taxes on millions of Americans. After January 1, 2013, the payroll tax increased from 4.2% to 6.2%. Despite all good intentions, the middle class taxes have indeed been increased by 2%, which could equate to $20-$50 or more that is being taken from each paycheck. As stated before by the Obama Administration, it is something the economy just can't handle at this time.

We petition the Obama Administration to permanently lower the tax rate back to its original rate, or lower. The LAST thing we need is an increase in taxes and less take home pay.
