Address police violence against protesters.

Created by S.L. on November 20, 2011

President Obama should address the instances of police violence against protesters at Occupy camps and gatherings all around the United States this Fall.

Police have carried out unprovoked attacks using batons, pepper spray, tear gas, rubber bullets and other weapons. Many protesters have been injured, some so severely they required hospitalization.

When political speech is met with violence outside the United States, President Obama regularly condemns the violent actions. He should do the same when political speech is met with violence here at home.
