We, as Citizens of the United States, urge to forthrightly know whether our President, Barack Obama, has a definitive and logically coherent view as to whether or not he believes that industrial hemp shall be legalized in our Country. This is not a petition to urge such regarding recreational, or medicinal, uses of the plant that is known as, "cannabis." You have stated as one of your primary goals that you're aiming for this Country to be energy independent, and to curtail the effects of climate change, if all means necessary. Industrial hemp (cannabis sativa) is considered to be a high-yielding energy crop with a conditionally low impact on the environment. It has strong potential accompanied with our ingenuity, as a Nation, and historic industrial might to renew our manufacturing base.
