We hereby request that President Barack Obama, as head of the executive branch, officially condemn the militarization of local and federal law enforcement departments; as well as outline a plan to reduce police shootings of unarmed subjects, innocent bystanders, and non-hostile pets.
As a nightly viewing of any local news broadcast will show, police involved shootings are ubiquitous and without substantial consequence to the officer(s) involved. This is unacceptable.
