address the rising gas prices; they are out of control and need to be lowered

Get gas companies to compete more and lower prices so that other expenses like food and air travel may decrease and become cheaper and more reasonable. In 2000, the average American paid $1.30 per gallon; however, now we pay close to $4 per gallon. Because food is trucked all over the country, our food rises in cost from the increase in gas prices. Likewise, most products that involve the use of gas whether it is used directly by the product or by the vehicle transporting the product are rising in price. Thus, it is time to stand up and say no to this increase in prices.
