Budget cuts have yet again stricken, and this time, as I am older and more aware of things, the cuts will not just mean less crayons or construction paper. No, it also means that ten teachers will be gone from my high school, including many who have been my teachers in the past and who I know through firsthand experience do a great job and actually care about the students' education.
Being one of the lowest performing high schools in the area with a violent reputation it is just now evading with rising test scores, it seems like eliminating 10 teachers is simply not the way to help my school become great like it used to be. America has a reputation for liking large items, but ballooning up a forty student classroom (that barely leaves enough room for walking) to fifty does not seem good.
