The non-elected administration of the dictator Bashir El Assad of Syria has been waging a full scale war on the citizens of his country. His armed forces have murdered tens of thousands of civilians and opposition, and murdered over 45 children with an aerial bombardment on 11/26/2012. This killing has not been addressed by an official United States position. This petition requests that President Obama direct our Ambassador to the UN for an immediate EMERGENCY Security Council meeting to warn the Assad regime that he must step down NOW.
The UN meeting must warn him of dire consequences including using UN "Peacekeeping" forces to remove him should he not comply quickly.
