Instead of blindly grouping many petitions to one pre-written/pre-recorded response, we petition you to respond to the specifics addressed in the respective petitions.
Right now, this petition system is being gamed by the White house. In order to squelch the voices of over 25000 citizens per petition, they are often closed by the administration. This is done by linking them with a preordained policy direction, statement and/or response. In many cases, the content of whole petitions are being systematically ignored.
You lecture us about needing to have an open & honest national discussion while cherry-picking the issues and responses that best align with the current administration's views. Likewise, critical questions from the media are often ignored for "soft-ball" questions.
