Intransigency plagues our political process and obstructs the necessary evolution of the country. This inflexibility is all but guaranteed by the unlimited length of service allowed members of Congress and Justices of the Supreme Court. This petition advocates that term limits be placed on members of both houses of Congress as well as an age limit for members of the Supreme Court. Furthermore, we suggest that these limits be as follows: for Representatives a limit of six terms (12 years), for Senators a limit of 3 terms (18 years) and for Supreme Court Justices an age limit of 75 years.
