We specifically ask for the president to push congress to pass legislation to enforce 2 term limits for the Senate and 3 term limits for the House of Representatives.
We feel that the current system leads to corruption in our congress and a misrepresentation of the people. Our forefathers never intended to get rid of one king and replace him with a multitude of little kings.
We feel term limits will allow our lawmakers to focus on goals and representing their constituents as opposed to themselves.
Term limits are a nonpartisan issue that 70% of the populous can agree upon. The dilemna is that we can not vote on it.
Mr. President, please help us leave a legacy and leave our republic stronger in your wake.
