A change needs to be made to ensure a fair representation of the people in the government. Many Americans don't support all the stances of the Republican and Democratic parties. As a result, numerous other parties have been formed. However, both main parties have worked hard to maintain the status quo. Laws, both on the state and local levels, have been passed which ban candidates from being on the ballot simply because their party didn't receive a certain percentage of votes in the previous election. These kinds of attacks on our freedom serve only to support professional politicians and cronyism in the government at all levels.
Please protect the rights of the people to vote for the candidate they feel most confident about, and not just the candidate with the most powerful backers.
