The Supreme Court has ruled that license and sobriety checkpoints are constitutional and not a violation of the 4th amendment because "the public interest in ensuing that motorists are licensed and cars are registered justified the checkpoint's slight intrusion on motorists" and "the magnitude of the government's interest in eradicating the increasing problem of drunken driving outweighed the slight intrusion the stop imposed on all motorists."
Evidence is increasing, as more motorist are recording their interactions at these checkpoints, that the police hold little to no regard for the 4th Amendment and will do unlawful things to circumvent the constitution and obtain an arrest or issue a citation. I implore you to end these costly, unproductive, unconstitutional stops now.
