Tricare reserve select health insurance for one military member is $55 a month. If you are married the premium jumps to $210 a month. Tricare assumes you have alot of children or intend to produce children so they only have a "family" plan. It is unfair to a husband and wife who are incapable or unwilling to produce children to charge a "family" rate instead of a Member plus spouse rate in addition to the option of a family rate.
