On May 6th 2013, yet another American Pit Bull Terrier was unnecessarily shot by an untrained Police officer in Colorado. This dog's name was Mongo and he is a trained emotional support animal for a Marine Corp veteran. Several witnesses from the neighborhood say Mongo was in no way aggressive while the police officer "claims" the dog was barking, growling and lunging forward. These instances have been caught on tape in the past, proving the officers are shooting without cause or reason. Many times the dogs are trying to flee and are still being shot. While CO is taking steps to implement training, many states are ignoring the issue while families continue to lose their pets with no voice to speak out. Protect your pets and tell law enforcement they do not have a license to kill!
