Regardless of political affiliation, we all live in a global capitalist society that fails or succeeds on the basis of monetary accumulation and spending. Since President Nixon’s August 15, 1971 decision to completely remove the United States dollar from the “gold standard”, we as citizens have bared the brunt of a rapidly decaying currency. Since that date our economic system has traded a currency that no longer carries the tangible global value necessary to operate productively. This has snowballed the U.S. economy deeper and deeper into perpetual debt, making it the most influential crisis in America today.
However, I believe as unified Americans we can solve this crisis.The future of the United States is directly contingent on dealing with this in a realistic and functional method.
