address the use of the 1980 Deep Seabed Hard Mineral Resources Act as a model to create a similar act for space bodies.

Created by R.B. on January 23, 2013

The Deep Seabed Hard Mineral Resource Act (created on June 28, 1980) permitted the exploration and exploitation of hard mineral resources of the deep seabed by U.S citizens. I am in favor of creating a similar act for private industries to explore and exploit the resources of our solar system to create jobs and stimulate the economy. But I also wish to avoid international repercussions, as that would go against the Obama Administration's goal of keeping international peace, but instead have this act go through the UN to promote fairness and compromise between nations.
I am am not affiliated with any interest group or organization, but instead I am an American citizen with a bold idea and hope to capture your interest to a topic that I am in favor of.
