Address why when the states wanted to secede it was denied.

When several states petitioned to secede, it was laughed off by the government and given a simple "no" even though some petitions for states had over 100 thousand signatures. But here's why I have a problem with that.

"...whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
This government is doing more harm to the country than help and it needs to be abolished and started anew!!

We have the INALIENABLE RIGHT to institute new governement if we feel there is a need. This was an amendment the government broke.
