Please, begin not only investigating but taking action against the nurse to patient ratio in nursing homes.
Many nursing homes have one nurse for every 30 patients during the day and one nurse for every 60 patients during the night. Some nursing homes provide assistance to many skilled patients who require more time than others. There can be as many as 20 out of 30 patients on a hall that are considered skilled in some nursing homes. This workload makes it very hard to provide efficient and loving care to all.
Also, there are many nursing homes in horrible conditions that are some how able to remain open. We need better action from the state and residents /family members complaints need to be taken more seriously.
No one deserves to live in such conditions.
