Adjust the charitable mileage deduction to reflect inflation.

Created by G.P. on February 25, 2013

The IRS currently allows citizens to deduct mileage for charitable activities at a rate of 14 cents per mile. This rate was set a long time ago and is not adjusted for inflation of gas prices. The deductions for business use and educational use are linked to inflation, but the charitable rate is not.

Americans are the most charitable people on earth and deserve a little reward for their continued dedication to helping their fellow man.
