After doing significant research for the finance classes within my MBA, I came to the conclusion that I would only invest money in companies with a healthy profit margin. 15% is the absolute lowest profit margin I would consider investing in or starting a small business, because companies with lower gross margins are more vulnerable to changes in the economy. This typically means small businesses shutting down and people losing their jobs.
I'm writing this petition because I believe investors and entrepreneurs feel the same way I do and that ultimately lower profit margins mean less job creation, innovation, and the diminished ability to compete globally.
My solution is to lower the corporate tax rate by industry to ensure the average gross margin in each industry is at least 15%.
