Adjust the Federal Safe Haven Law to the maximum age of 18.

Created by L.S. on November 02, 2015

Currently, each state has a detailed version of the Safe Haven Law, but almost all states only cover infants under a certain age. Although this law has helped infants, many children are still being abandoned, or in danger, because their parents feel there is no alternative. I am calling for a Federal Law that allows parents or guardians a chance to safely surrender a child, without any punitive actions. The child will then go into a child data-base for a determined amount of days, and then all parental rights may be relinquished. We need to urge President Barack Obama to focus on our children, our future leaders, who deserve the best chance at life.
