adjust the pension plan age requirement to age 67 and reduce benefits for the U.S. Congress to align with SS benefits.

Created by D.D. on January 25, 2013

Increase the minimum age requirement of pension benefits for Congress to age 67 with a minimum of 20 years in office, and change the maximum benefit to 60% of their income from their last year in office. Allow them the option of retirement at age 62 with a penalty of 5% reduced benefits per year of retirement before age 67. This will align better with the current private sector retirement option and help balance the budget and reduce our national deficit.
