Due to the economy, We the People believe that our elected officials should do their part to balance the budget without adversely effecting the PEOPLE, not just cater to the interests of Corporations, Banks, Big Business, the Wealthy and themselves. The Grassroots have voted and pay their share of taxes. Our elected officials should voluntarily give back to the People part of their salary and put a freeze on them. If not done voluntarily, then We should demand that at least some of the elected officials salaries be witheld not for the poor job performance of the past but to show sincere effort and concern for the people and the economy. We watched how these matters have been addressed. While we tightened our belts we watched Jobs being outsourced as unemployment numbers rose here. Help!
