Adjust the salaries of lawmakers to reflect the current median income

Created by C.S. on April 10, 2014

It's clear that our lawmakers cannot relate to the average American citizen. Reports show there are more millionaires in Congress now, more than ever.

How can we expect our lawmakers to have our best interests at heart if the incentive of being in their position one of money?

I suggest that every lawmaker, senator, congressman, mayor, governor and President of the United States make the average median income in the United States.

By doing this, we can be certain (to some degree at least) that the people who are in their positions, are in their positions to honestly SERVE the people and the best interests of this country as opposed to being in their positions for the wrong reasons
