Adjust the salaries of members of Congress to match the median salary of all American citizens.

Created by R.B. on December 30, 2012

Our members of Congress have much higher salaries than the overwhelming majority of American citizens. This drastically skews their view of many economic issues and contributes heavily to the obvious discord between Congress and the American People.

Adjust the salaries of all members of Congress to match the median salary of average American citizens. When members of Congress live with the same resources as the rest of the country, perhaps they will cease being so consistently out of touch with the needs and views of our citizens. They would finally understand what the average American goes through on a daily basis.

When the median American salary increases, so will the salaries of our Congress members.
