Politicians are voted into their positions and many abuse their privileges and believe they are above the law. They are regularly caught breaking the law. If they get caught, they just hold a press conference and pay a fine and they are free to return to their post. Politicians just get a slap on the wrist whereas an average citizen could go to prison for the same offense.
We need to ensure that our elected leaders are not under the influence while they are in office. Their drug tests should be public information so voters can see if their candidate used drugs. There should not be a double standard that gives them a get out of jail free card for being in a position of power.
