Admit Puerto Rico as the 51st State of the Union.

Created by A.V. on December 25, 2012

On November 6, 2012, the U.S. Territory of Puerto Rico held a historic referendum on its current political status.

54% voted to end the current territorial status.

In a separate question, 61.16% chose STATEHOOD as the alternative. The option of "sovereign free association" earned 33.33% of the vote and 5.51% chose independence.

We call on the White House and the U.S. Congress to take the necessary steps to implement the will of the U.S. Citizens of Puerto Rico.

Respect the will of the U.S. Citizens of Puerto Rico by admitting Puerto Rico as the 51st state of the Union without further delay.
