Admitting Puerto Rico to the Union would help to advance the economy by adding a number of taxpayers that are eager and willing to pay their dues to the government in order to have safe streets, healthy hospitals, and the right to an education-- as American citizens have now. The increase in taxpayers will benefit the economy. This will also insure that there are no "second class" citizens that are not guaranteed the necessities previously stated.
