According to the recent responses to the petitions that have had sufficient signatures, the Obama administration does not truly care what "we the people" want to be changed. This was a clever marketing scheme that delusions us into believing that we are being heard. The response to the petition to legalize marijuana and regulate the same as alcohol was weak, and did not give the 75,000 some signers the kind of response they deserved. Obviously we want our voices heard, politicians are not the majority. But we must realize when we are being played and manipulated. This administration, as every administration does in the year before elections, is focused only on its reelection. So please Mr. President please do away with the whole petition program if you do not wish to actually act on them.
