Admit Washington, DC to the Union as a state

While many states are starting a movement to secede from the Union the people in the District of Columbia demand to be admitted to the Union with full voting representation in both the Senate and the House. James Otis was quoted saying, “Taxation without representation is tyranny” and the people of our nation’s capital city have been living under that tyranny for 211 years. It is time that this oppression comes to an end. Support a bill creating a federal district out of the National Mall, Capitol and White House and give the remainder of the land inside the current District of Columbia to the State of New Columbia.
