We hereby petition against the federal directive, issued by OCR, requesting Illinois School District 211 to give transgender students unrestricted access to locker rooms for the gender they identify with.
We believe administrators of D211 have done their uttermost to accommodate the special needs of the transgender students, We are here to show our full and unreserved support for the decision of D211. We believe that OCR directives have gravely violated the rights of the large majority of students. It not only creates the opportunity for sex crimes but also invades the rights to privacy of all students. If OCR has its way, it will set a pernicious precedent that will adversely affects the lives of most students in our schools throughout the country.
OCR must withdraw its decision.
