adopt a comprehensive strategy for controlling wealth inequality

Created by R.R. on January 15, 2012

Wealth inequality is inimical to our democracy and to the social cohesiveness of our nation. It will not be resolved on its own.

Galvanizing a fairer distribution of wealth will require a coordinated and sustained policy response involving reforming, at a minimum, the tax code, the regulations governining banking and trade, and the rules related to campaign finance.

Rather than dealing with each of these and related issues separately, the Obama administration should
develop, promote, and pursue a five-year strategy to redress the wealth inequality that now threatens the future of our nation.
