Adopt daylight savings time zones as standard time year-round

Created by J.G. on October 08, 2015

Whereas the country now spends 238 days, or about 65% of the year, in "Daylight Savings Time" instead of actual "Standard Time".

Whereas the process of switching time has a temporary negative impact on the human body and causes a major disruption to sleep, worker productivity, and may contribute to accidents in the days that follow a time change.

Whereas individual states have, and many have or are considering, adopting a single time zone year-round and opting out of the federal standard.

Whereas there is no compelling modern reason to continue switching our clocks and all of those devices that rely on time twice a year.

We, the people, need a single time standard year-round.
