adopt as a Federal holiday the Monday immediately following Superbowl Sunday.

Created by S.J. on January 31, 2012

We propose that the Monday immediately following Superbowl Sunday be a federally recognized holiday. Citizens should be free to celebrate the Superbowl which occurs in the evening on a Sunday night. Providing this holiday will help free wasted work time and potentially prevent intoxicated driving after an event which is heavily geared towards community and camaraderie resulting in much travel to and from houses, bars, and restaurants. Americans will be able to celebrate the Superbowl with the peace of mind that a succeeding holiday provides.
