We the undersigned wish to voice our opinion in support of the United States abolishing the current U.S. customary units measuring system and adopt the internationally used metric system. This change would educate America's future generations using the metric system and better its international relations by making a statement to the world that the United States is willing to conform its former customs to its international partners for convenience in trade and collaboration.
In addition, we the undersigned wish to voice our opinion in abolishing the common U.S. calendar format (mm/dd/yyyy) and adopt the internationally consistent format (dd/mm/yyyy). This can cause severe misunderstanding in communication. "4 July 2013" would be shown as 4/7/13 and no longer shown as 7/4/1
