Adopt a month as 'NATIVE AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH'

I believe that there should be a month in dedication to the Native Americans who were the original "Americans". We have a black history month, we have many religions that are recognized, we celebrate many heritages, but we have nothing for the Native Americans. And many Native Americans know nothing about THEIR heritage. We were ran off, we were slaved, we were killed for being "unknown" to Europeans. This is our original home, and for as many years that have passed we should have a month for us, to teach, to learn, to remember, and to embrace as our history in the United States.
